Wawitz Manor

The manor was owned by the Lords of Klüx in 1525. In 1564, the estate was divided. One half went to the Lords of Gersdorff and the other half to the Lords of Metzrad. Later, ownership changed to Hans von Schlichting, in 1597 to Christoph von Nostitz, in 1605 to the Lords of Loeben, in 1618 again to the Lords of Klüx, in 1771 to Christoph Schmidt, and in 1781 to Johann Pauli. In 1826, six farmers bought the estate. Around 1900, the current manor house was built on the walls of the old manor house.
