Zumdahl Manor (Geilenkirchen)
Gut Zumdahl is a former knight's estate surrounded by moats, located in the area of the city of Geilenkirchen. It stands in the Wurm Valley, on the L 42, between the villages of Kogenbroich and Nirm.
The history of the house is largely unknown. Information about it is scarce. Gut Zumdahl is a property that probably dates back to the 15th to 16th century. The house Dahll, depicted as the property of a Mr. Graass in the Codex Welser of 1723, could be identical to Zumdahl.
According to Edmund Renard, a Jacobus de Valle sive Dhall, provost of Heinsberg in 1498, may have originated from Haus Zumdahl. Before 1846, the property was owned by a Theodor Anstrup, then by the Havers family and later by the Schoen family. Around 1900, the complex belonged to a Mrs. Oberlandesgerichtsrat Schoen from Colmar.

Gut Zumdahl has an almost rectangular floor plan and is surrounded by a moat. Its square corner tower, to which a simple 18th-century residential house is attached, dates from the 15th to 16th century.
