The Roman Bath of Kastell Schirenhof is part of a former Roman cohort fort in the Ostalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg.

History+

Kastell Schirenhof was built around 150 AD on a mountain spur that offered a wide view over the Rems valley and the Rhaetian Limes behind it. This strategically favorable location in the Roman province of Raetia was crucial for monitoring the imperial border. Research has shown that the Cohors I Flavia Raetorum was the garrison's main troop and likely perished during the Alamannic invasions from 233 AD.
