The remains of the roman Bath can be visited

The Roman Bath in Walldürn is part of the former Roman military camp on the Upper Germanic-Rhaetian Limes, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The well-preserved remains of this thermal complex represent an archaeological monument in Baden-Württemberg.

History+

The construction of the bath dates back to the mid-2nd century AD, coinciding with the building of the Upper Germanic-Rhaetian Limes. Brick stamps of the Legio XXII Primigenia pia fidelis, originating from a legionary brickworks near Kastell Höchst, confirm this dating. Around 185 AD, initial repairs were necessary for the facility, which remained in use until after 200 AD.
