Roman City Augustodunum-Pyramide de Couhard

The Pyramid of Couhard near Autun, a French city in the department of Saône-et-Loire in the Burgundy region, is a 2nd-century mausoleum from the Roman city of Augustodunum, which has been a protected historical monument (Monument historique) since 1840.
The Pyramid of Couhard, named after the hamlet of Couhard, is located on the site of the former necropolis "Champ des Urnes", outside the ancient city fortifications. Until the 16th century, the mausoleum was still clad in white marble.
