The remains of the roman Therme can be visited
Roman City Brenodurum-Bath

The Roman City of Brenodurum-Therme is an ancient site in Bern, Switzerland, offering a fascinating glimpse into Roman life in the region. As part of the former Roman small town of Brenodurum, it testifies to a long settlement continuity and a rich Gallo-Roman mixed culture.
History+
After Caesar's conquest of Gaul around 50 BC, the oppidum remained inhabited and developed into a Roman vicus. The military integration of Helvetia into the Roman Empire left few traces on the Engehalbinsel, but Celtic traditions continued and merged with Roman influences to form a Gallo-Roman culture. In the south of the vicus, there was a theatre and a sanctuary with several temples. Between this sanctuary and the town center, which included a public bath and other buildings, residential and commercial buildings lined the main street. After a fire around 70 AD, the originally wooden houses were replaced by stone structures. Crafts and trade, especially pottery, were important economic sectors. Archaeological finds date up to the end of the third century, after which the traces of the settlement disappear, though it remained as a namesake for nearby Bremgarten and later Bern.
