The Roman Villa Büßlingen is located in Tengen-Büßlingen in the district of Konstanz, Baden-Württemberg. It is one of the largest known farmsteads of its kind in Southern Germany, and the only one to have been fully excavated.

History+

The Villa rustica was founded in the late 1st century AD, probably between 75 and 80, and existed at least until the 3rd century. Initially built with timber, the complex was gradually converted to stone construction from the mid-2nd century onwards. Archaeological finds suggest that Romans and Celts lived together here.
