The palatial villa of Bruckneudorf was built over older structures soon after the middle of the 4th century AD. The impressive building with portico, corner risalits, and a large hall with a raised apse was also magnificently furnished inside. Many rooms were heated; 11 rooms had mosaic floors, which are now mostly exhibited in the Burgenland State Museum in Eisenstadt. The wall remains have been raised, and the mosaic patterns are indicated in the pavement. Panels explain the building, which can be walked through and well overlooked from a hill.
