The remains of the roman Castle can be visited

The Roman Small Fort Haselburg, a former Roman military installation, is located in Baden-Württemberg. Although no visible remains exist today, archaeological excavations provided important insights into the development of the Limes in Southwest Germany, particularly through the discovery of a three-phase expansion.

History+

The origins of the Small Fort Haselburg date back to the period of the Limes' advancement. The first fortification was a wood-earth structure with a footprint of 41 x 37 meters, featuring a palisade fence and two entrances.
