In Coburg, Bavaria, the Rosenauer Schlösschen is a historic structure that has undergone a history from a medieval moated castle to its current use as an administrative building. It is situated on the Rittersteich.

The first documented mention of Rosenauer Castle occurred in 1397, and in 1426, it was referred to as the property of a master of the mint. Presumably, the Lords of Rosenau initiated its reconstruction as a moated castle in 1434. Following its sale in 1556 and acquisition by Duke Johann Casimir in 1611, a period of alteration and decay began. In 1671, the building was demolished down to its lower floor, and a new story with a gabled roof in half-timbered construction was erected on its remains. It later served as a ducal brewery and fish house.
