The Rosenschlößl, a small castle, was built at the beginning of the 20th century on the Rosenberg in the Mariatrost district of Graz. Its architectural design reflects the transition from Historicism to Modernism.

History+

The construction of the Rosenschlößl took place in 1912, based on the designs of city master builders and architects W. Burgstaller and A. Zauner. Originally conceived as a two-story, freestanding building, it featured a structured body with bay windows, loggias, and projections and recesses. The steep roof housed tower rooms and an attic. In 1956, the castle underwent restoration and was expanded with a tower and a winter garden.
