Ruffini Castle

School

The Ruffinischlösschen, a former noble residence, is a baroque building in Landshut's Achdorf district. Its gable design with ornamentation makes it a 17th-century architectural example.

History+

The construction of the Ruffinischlösschen took place in the second half of the 17th century. The builders were members of the noble Planck family, who at that time also owned the neighboring Achdorf Castle. Originally, the large hall on the first floor housed wall and ceiling paintings from the early Rococo period, which were, however, destroyed during World War II.

Today, the Ruffinischlösschen is integrated into the grounds of the Karl-Heiß primary school. It serves as the location for the school kitchen, while the large hall on the first floor is used as an event venue.
