Bernburg Castle (Ruin)

The remains of the ruins can be visited

The Bernburg is a medieval castle ruin on the northern outskirts of Rottweil in the district of Rottweil in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

The castle was first mentioned at the beginning of the 13th century. It was owned by the Lords of Bernburg. In 1417, it was destroyed.

The former castle complex was tripartite; it consisted of the front, middle, and rear castles. Few remains of the curtain wall and a tower of the front castle have been preserved.
