Brüggen Castle (Ruin)

The castle was built by the Dietkirchen monastery before it went to the Lords of Brüggen. In the early 14th century and in 1786, the castle was demolished and rebuilt. However, since it was a leased property from the 17th century onwards, the complex increasingly fell into disrepair and had to be demolished in 1902. The archway that has been preserved today only serves as a historical monument.
