On a hillside spur near Albstadt-Laufen is the Heersberg Ruin.
History+
The construction of Heersberg Castle is dated to the first half of the 13th century, based on archaeological finds analyzed by Christoph Bizer. Its existence likely came to an abrupt end in the mid-14th century, possibly due to an attack, as suggested by a found sling stone approximately 30 centimeters in diameter. It is speculated that this site might be the Neuentierberg Castle mentioned in 1362.

The Heersberg Ruin is situated on a hillside spur on the southeast slope of the Heersberg mountain, northwest of the Albstadt district of Laufen in the Zollernalbkreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It lies at an elevation of approximately 842 meters above sea level.
