History+

The origins of Hemmerich Castle date back to a Roman settlement. In 1210, it was owned by Knight Albero von Hemberg. Between 1729 and 1733, the complex underwent a redesign in the Rhenish Rococo style. After fires in 1869 and 1906, the manor house was rebuilt in the Neo-Renaissance style according to designs by architect Wilhelm Graf Mörner.
