The Hofheim Castle+
History+

From the Middle Ages to the Modern Era

A predecessor building is already mentioned in 1356 as "Slois zu Hoiffheim", which was owned by the Lords of Hofheim. From 1433, the castle was the seat of the Mainz Electorate's cellarer. In the 16th century, the castle was rebuilt. The owners were the Counts of Falkenstein. In 1667, parts of the castle were demolished. Since 1877, the remains of the castle have been owned by the city of Hofheim.
