The remains of the Castle can be visited

On a steep rocky ridge above the Rennertshofen district of Hütting stands the ruin of Hütting, a high to late medieval spur castle. It is located in the Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district in Upper Bavaria.

History+

The complex was established around 1060 by the Counts of Lechsgemünd. Its administration was entrusted to a family of ministeriales who subsequently named themselves after the castle and resided on the castle rock until about 1342. Following the death of the last count, the county fell to the Bavarian dukes, who used the lordship as collateral on several occasions.
