Jagdburg Castle (Ruin) (Höfen)
The ruin Jagdburg, also called Turm zum Stocken or Friedberg, is a castle ruin from the 12th century in the municipality of Höfen in the canton of Bern.
The Jagdburg was a knightly fief of the Dukes of Austria and was first mentioned in 1350. From about 1308 to 1492, the ruin was a fief and ancestral castle of the Lords of Amsoldingen. Afterwards, it was administered by the Lordship of Blumenstein. From 1642, it was abandoned and subsequently fell into disrepair.
Parts of the outer bailey and several floors of a rectangular tower are preserved.
