Kallenberg Castle (Ruin)

The origins of Kallenberg Castle likely date back to around 1200. It was first documented in 1225, named after the noble Kallenberg family. Later, in 1334, the castle was owned by the Counts of Hohenberg before being sold to the House of Habsburg in 1381. Ownership frequently changed hands, including the Truchsessen von Waldburg and later Ulm-Erbach. Around 1800, the decay of the complex began. In 1907, the ruin became the property of Baron von Ow-Wachendorf and has been owned by the Tuttlingen district since 1974.
