The Kramburg ruin in Gelterfingen, Canton Bern, is a medieval castle complex. Situated on a rocky spur at the southwestern edge of the Belpberg, it still has visible traces of its former significance today.

History+

Kramburg served as the ancestral seat of the Barons of Kramburg, who were vassals of the Kyburgs and also held the burghership of the city of Bern. Their dominion extended over several surrounding villages, including Gelterfingen and Mühledorf. In 1355, the Kramburg lineage died out, and the lordship passed to the Barons of Resti. Later, in 1373, the lordship was bequeathed to the Münchenbuchsee Commandery of the Order of St.
