The La Tur ruin is a castle complex in Zillis-Reischen in the Swiss canton of Graubünden, at an altitude of approximately 1162 meters above sea level.

History+

There are no written records regarding the exact construction period and history of La Tur Castle. It is believed to have been built as early as the 12th century, making it older than the reconstructed Haselstein Castle on the opposite side of the Vidostobel gorge. The reasons for its abandonment are also unknown, but traces of fire inside suggest an inferno. The von Reischen family, possibly associated with the castle, is first mentioned in 1275 as ministerials of the Bishop of Chur.
