Leckstein Castle (Ruin)
The Leckstein ruin, also called Lagstein, is the ruin of a hilltop castle on a valley slope near Gauselfingen, a district of Burladingen in the Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg.
The castle, situated on a slope, was built around the period 1100 to 1150 and fell into disrepair in the 14th century. Nothing is known about the builders and inhabitants of the castle. In 1544, the castle was mentioned in a border description.
Of the former castle complex, which comprised a core castle with a residential tower (with an annex) and an outer bailey, as well as a castle courtyard, enceinte, and neck ditch, remnants of the residential tower and the neck ditch are still preserved.
