Lehrbach Castle (Ruin)
Lehrbach Castle is a High Medieval castle ruin near the Lehrbach district of the town of Kirtorf in the Vogelsbergkreis in Hesse.
The lowland castle was built around 1180 and was granted as a male fief in 1349 to members of the Lehrbach family, who abandoned it in 1550.
During the Thirty Years' War (1618 to 1648), the castle was destroyed. In 1901, the ruin was restored.
In 2006, a small part of the ruin further disintegrated.
