In Hausen im Tal, Baden-Württemberg, the Lengenfeld Ruin is on a steep rock cliff. It is high above the Danube and directly opposite Werenwag Castle.

History+

The origins of Lengenfeld Castle date back to the 12th century, but little is known about its exact construction and early history. It is presumed that there is a connection to the village of Lengenfeld, located to the south on the Alb plateau. The complex fell into ruin, with only sparse wall remnants remaining today.

The Lengenfeld Ruin is situated in Hausen im Tal, a district of the municipality of Beuron in the Sigmaringen district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It lies at an elevation of approx. 762 meters above sea level.
