Neuburg Castle (Ruin) (Mammern)
The Neuburg ruin, once a castle, is situated above Mammern in the canton of Thurgau, Switzerland.
History+
The construction of Neuburg is dated to the mid-13th century and was carried out under Baron Ulrich III von Altenklingen. From 1319, the castle was known as a fief of St. Gallen Abbey and changed hands multiple times. In 1690, it became the property of Rheinau Abbey. The castle was demolished in 1745.

Visitors can explore the ruins of Neuburg. Remains of the curtain wall are still visible, as are the foundation remnants of the main castle's keep. The original view over Lake Constance (Untersee) is now obstructed by trees and undergrowth.
