Neuravensburg Castle (Ruin)

Neuravensburg was first mentioned in a document in 1271 as "Nuwen Ravenspurg". An early medieval castle stood on this site, which was destroyed in 1525. A reconstruction took place between 1614 and 1617, but parts of the complex were already dismantled again from 1836 to 1840, giving it its current ruined character. A settlement was established at the foot of the castle in the 13th century, but it was destroyed as early as 1272 and appeared only as a hamlet from 1432 onwards.
