The Ramspau Ruin stands on the Schlossberg near Ramspau in the Bavarian district of Regensburg.

The origins of Ramspau Castle likely date back to the 13th century, when it was probably built by the Wittelsbachs. The first documentary mention is from 1312, when a knight "Weichser de Ranspaur" is named, indicating a transfer of the castle to the Knights of Weichs. Over the years, various members of this family appeared as owners, including Heinrich, Hans, and Marquart Weichser von Ramspau, who also served as ducal administrators. In 1428, the castle itself is mentioned, with Ludwig Chamerauer named as its owner. It is reported that the castle was temporarily occupied by a ruse during a feud with an Abensberger.
