Ringelstein Castle (Ruin)
The Ringelstein ruin, also called Ringingen or Aloisschlössle, is a castle ruin on a high rock between the district of Ringingen and the town of Burladingen in the Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg.
The hilltop castle was presumably built by Anselm von Ringingen around 1150, and in 1440 Kaspar von Ringelstein is mentioned when he concludes a contract with the municipality of Burladingen regarding the grazing rights at the "Burgstall" Ringelstein. The Knights of Werdenberg are also named as former owners. In 1932, measures were taken to secure the ruin.
Of the former castle complex, which featured a 15-meter-high residential tower on a base area of 7.50 by 11 meters and a neck ditch, remnants of the residential tower and the ditch are still preserved.
