Rotenzimmern Castle (Ruin)

Rotenzimmern Castle, also known as Rotazimbern, is a vanished castle located on a spur terrace above the steep slope to the Schlichem Valley near the district of Rotenzimmern in the municipality of Dietingen in the Rottweil district of Baden-Württemberg.
The spur castle was built at the beginning of the 14th century, mentioned in 1341, and was owned by the Lords of Rotenzimmern.
The small castle featured a keep, a shield wall, a rear castle as the core castle, and a front castle as the outer bailey. Of the former castle complex, moats and wall remnants are still preserved.
