Turmhügelburg Castle (Ruin)

The Turmhügelburg Leinroden dates back to the 12th century, when it was built. As early as 1147, the first documentary mention names an Odalrich de Roden as the owner. In 1354, the von Pfahlheim family resided here, followed by the von Zipplingen family in 1369, and the von Rechberg family in 1377. Later, in 1409, the von Woellwarth family took over the property. In more recent times, there were also various owners, including Freiherr von Uechtritz in 1815, Dr. Walter Schuster in 1910, and Mrs. Gertrud Weise-Andreae in 1933. Today, the ruin is privately owned.
