Uda Castle (Ruin) (Oedt)

Uda Castle is a medieval castle ruin in the Oedt district of the municipality of Grefrath on the Lower Rhine. It was built around 1300 by Dietrich Luf III of Cleves, Count of Hülchrath and Lord of Kervenheim and Oedt.

In 1348/49, it served as a defensive fortification for the Cologne Elector Walram of Jülich against the Duchies of Jülich and Geldern. In 1560, extensive repair work was carried out by Johann von Brempt.
