Wildberg Castle (Ruin)
The castle was built in the 12th century by the Counts of Wildberg. After their extinction in 1368, it fell to the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg, which used it as an administrative seat, leading to its destruction in 1525 during the German Peasants' War. It was not rebuilt, as the diocese moved its administrative seat to Sulzfeld, and has been a ruin ever since.
Not much remains of the castle's former glory. Apart from some wall remnants, buried cellar vaults, and the support pillars of the drawbridge, nothing has been preserved.
