Sayn-Wittgensteiner Hof Manor

The large two-story building with corner pilasters and a plinth made of reused Roman limestone ashlar was erected in 1790/91 under Amtmann Johann Wilhelm Stein on the site of an older building. In 1512, Emperor Maximilian stayed overnight in the Amtshaus while traveling through, and in 1795, it was converted into a French military hospital. The outbuildings and sheds lining the courtyard, with an archway from 1709, were demolished in the 1960s. Today, it houses, among other things, the local history museum.
