Ahlsdorf Castle

The origins of Ahlsdorf date back to 1459, when the locality, then known as Ahlsdorp slavia, belonged to the provostry of Jüterbog. In 1709, the estate became a fideicommissum of the Seyffertitz family, with Anton Friedrich von Seyffertitz being the first owner from this lineage. His brother, Joachim Hennig von Seyffertitz, inherited it in 1736. Adolf Reichsfreiherr von Seyffertitz, who had been elevated to the status of Imperial Baron by August the Strong in 1711, later took over the estate.
