Aichet Castle

The first documented mention of Aichet Castle dates back to the 13th century. Its current appearance was shaped in the 16th century by Michael Aiden, who held important positions in Steyr at the time, including city judge and mayor. In the early 17th century, from 1615 to 1636, the estate was owned by Wolf Katzianer von Fladnitz zum Katzenstein. It later passed to Baron von Walkun von Herberstorff. In 1782, it belonged to the Barons von Riesenfels. In the 20th century, specifically 1930, the Köstler family were the owners, before it passed into the possession of the current Pampel family.
