Aldingen Castle

Aldingen Castle, also known as the New Castle or Outer Castle, is a manor house built in 1580 in the Renaissance style in Remseck am Neckar in the Ludwigsburg district.

The castle was built after the Reformation by Heinrich von Kaltental as the seat of the Protestant line of the Lords of Kaltental. Together with the Meierhof, the barns, stables, and carriage houses, the castle formed a square courtyard, which until 1900 was only accessible through two gates. Wolf Georg von Kaltental also had the castle equipped in 1726 or 1728 with a baroque portal bearing the Kaltental coat of arms and two rooms on the ground floor with Rococo stucco and ceiling paintings.
