History+
Alnarp's origins trace back to the 12th century when a first castle was built on this site. In 1325, the estate came into the possession of the knight Anders Pedersen. In the early 15th century, Aage Nielsen Ulfeldt was named as owner, before it passed to Niels Stigsen Thott in 1449. Both families, the Ulfeldts and the Thotts, belonged to the nobility of Skåne. Around 1500, Erik Krummedige, a relative of the Danish king's advisor Henrik Krummedige, was the owner. In 1536, Alnarp fell to the Danish state under Christian III.
