Althaidhof Castle

The historic building, a former moated castle, is located in the heart of the village. Its origins date back to the Middle Ages, and it has undergone numerous changes and expansions over the centuries. Today, it stands as an impressive testament to the region's rich history.

The building complex consists of several wings arranged around a central courtyard. The main building, a two-story stone structure, features a striking stepped gable and a round corner tower. The facades are adorned with various decorative elements, including sandstone window frames and coats of arms.

Interior Design

Inside, the building boasts a wealth of historical details. The grand hall, with its vaulted ceiling and large fireplace, was once used for banquets and receptions. Other notable rooms include the knight's hall, the chapel, and numerous living quarters, many of which still retain their original stucco ceilings and wall paintings.
