In the Goldach Valley stands Armstorf Castle. Originally built on the foundations of an older structure, the castle today presents itself as an educational institution.

History+

The origins of the current Armstorf Castle date back to 1622, when the Westacher family erected a two-story hip-roofed building on the foundations of a previous structure. The building underwent numerous alterations by its frequently changing owners. Its present form, a three-story main building with four towers and two side wings, was established during the Art Nouveau period. In 1929, the Franciscan Sisters from Au am Inn took over the castle.
