A two-winged building, Aschbach Castle, was constructed in 1672 and is now privately owned. It was the feudal seat of the Barons of Pölnitz.

History+

The origins of the castle date back to 1672, when Hieronymus Christoph von Pölnitz initiated its construction. It served as the ancestral seat of the Barons of Pölnitz. In 1840, the estate changed hands and was acquired by the Barons of Bodeck, who undertook alterations and additions. These measures included the construction of a chapel, a library wing, and the redesign of the castle park.
