Auhof Castle
Auhof Castle (Pupping) is located in the eponymous district of the municipality of Pupping in the Eferding district of Upper Austria (Auhof 1).
The building was constructed between 1899 and 1902 by the estate owner Ottokar Saradnik (Zahradnik). The architect was L. R. Becker. The builder died in 1935; the property then passed to his son. When the latter died in 1939, the property went to Karoline Greiter.
The building, referred to as a manor house, is two-story and resembles an English country house. The building is situated in a walled landscape garden. A number of farm buildings belong to the estate. Statues and fountains stand in the castle park. A terracotta figural group of a dolphin embracing a female body was intended for a water feature, which was never realized; it now decorates a terrace.
The building and park are privately owned and not open to the public.
