In the landscape of Rhineland-Palatinate, Schloss Ayl is situated. Originally a manor farm, it evolved into a castle that now serves as a venue for cultural encounters.

History+

At the end of the 18th century, the original building complex, comprising a residential house and a wine press house, was constructed and once belonged to the Trier Cathedral Chapter. The property acquired its current castle-like appearance in 1897 when it was redesigned under its then-owner, Justizrat Goertz. In 1927, the winery passed into the possession of the episcopal seminary, where it remained until just before the turn of the millennium.
