Schloss Bayerhofen is a square, four-winged castle in Wolfsberg (Carinthia/Austria). It has a large inner courtyard with open arcades.
The first mention of the castle is a document from the year 1239 and mentions a certain Chunrad der Payer as the first owner. His family owned the castle until 1539. At the time of the Reformation, the castle was a center of Martin Luther's teachings. The current form of the castle dates from the 16th century. In 1807, it came into the possession of the current owners, the Schnerich family. In mid-2006, the secco painting on the front of the castle was painted over.
