Bedernau Castle

History+
A predecessor building was already mentioned in 1453 as being owned by the Lords of Bedernau. Later, ownership passed to the Lords of Memmingen, who rebuilt the castle in the 16th century. During the Thirty Years' War, the castle was damaged and subsequently fell into disrepair. In 1764-65, a new building was constructed by Joseph Ignaz von Kretz. Later, ownership passed to the Castell family. In 1810-11, the round towers were renewed.
