Beesenstedt Castle is a manor house in Saxony-Anhalt. Originally built at the end of the 19th century, it served various purposes and even housed a Masonic lodge.

History+

The construction of Beesenstedt Castle took place in 1895. It served as the residence for the Nette family, whose lineage is traced back to the poet Friedrich Gottlieb Klopstock. In 1915, the castle underwent an expansion by the architect Paul Schultze-Naumburg. An episode occurred in 1921 when the building was plundered by Max Hoelz during the March Fights in Central Germany. Also noteworthy is its use as a Masonic lodge, although the exact affiliation of the rooms is unknown.
