Berlichingen Castle
Berlichingen Castle, also known as Berlichingen Palace, was a moated castle, later a palace, in the Berlichingen district of the municipality of Schöntal in the Hohenlohe district (Baden-Württemberg).
The moated castle of Berlichingen, presumably built in the 13th century, was a tower-like three-story stone house. It was the ancestral castle of the Lords of Berlichingen, a Hohenlohe fief since 1292 and a Würzburg fief from 1347. Götz von Berlichingen was presumably born here around 1480. The palace was first mentioned in the 17th century and is now privately owned.
