Bertoldsheim Castle is a baroque three-winged complex, situated on a rocky hill in Bertoldsheim, Bavaria. This structure, once a castle, is today a testament to the architecture of the 18th century.

History+

At the site of the current castle, a tower stood until the end of the 16th century, which was later expanded into a castle. The Counts of Graisbach were among the early owners. After several changes of ownership, Baron Franz Fortunat von Ysselbach, a military officer and governor, acquired Bertoldsheim at the beginning of the 18th century. He commissioned court architect Gabriel de Gabrieli to build a baroque castle, which was constructed between 1714 and 1730.
