History+

The origins of Biedenbach Castle date back to 1503, when it was owned by the Reykher family from Landshut. Caspar Reykher is documented as the owner at this time. Later, the property passed to the Counts of Freyen Seyboltstorff. Around 1720, the castle underwent reconstruction, specifically for Georg Carl Anton Alois Adam zu Freyen Seyboltstorff, who served as a pastor in Velden. Until the end of the 19th century, the building served as the rectory of Velden.
