District court

The castle was first mentioned in a document in 1267 as a residence. In 1612-20, the new building was constructed under the cathedral capitular Johann Jakob Blarer von Wartensee. In 1846, the castle was expanded and used as a courthouse (first the Baden Court of Appeal, today the District Court).
